Business and Floral Design Workshop Recap!

Business and Floral Design Workshop Recap!

I am SO excited to share a recap of the November Business and Floral Design workshop! We welcomed the workshop attendees into our home and studio for an entire day full of learning, laughter and the beginning of new friendships, and we all had an amazing time together! The attendees came from all over the East Coast- including flying in from Boston and New Hampshire, and then driving from Maryland and Virginia, and it was so fun being together and getting to know everyone!

We started off the day with coffee/tea and breakfast and then dove straight into the content- where I taught about the client experience, marketing, and the booking process. We talked about finding ideal clients, how to market your business in a smart way (mainly using social media marketing and cultivating vendor relationships), and how to book brides in a simple and straightforward way that doesn’t involve dozens of emails, time spent tweaking proposals and research! Those topics took us all the way up to lunch, where then we ate some delicious chili and snacks, (thanks Jason and Janna!) and then we jumped into the bouquet design!

Flower crowns are one of my favorite things ever! Pair that with fun ladies, Tianna at Yours Truly Portraiture and lots of sweet snacks and drinks, and you have yourself an amazing flower crown design party! We had a blast a few weeks ago at Cupcakes, Crowns, and Cocktails, a flower crown workshop held at the Studio at Chelsea Commons in Chesapeake! We had such an awesome time creating flower crowns together, while enjoying laughs and hilarious stories, and all the pretty details were captured beautifully by Tianna! Thanks so much to each of the girls who joined in- I enjoyed being able to share my love of flowers with each of you, and you all did a phenomenal job with your flower crowns! :)

Recap of CIE Blooms & Brunch!

Recap of CIE Blooms & Brunch!

I am so excited to share the recap of the CIE Blooms & Brunch workshop today on the blog! This was such a joy to be a part of, and I had an amazing time teaching attendees how to design a flower crown and bouquet. The attendees enjoyed mimosas, coffee, and a light brunch, along with a fun "swag bag" and lots of beautiful blooms! We used gorgeous shades of pink and burgundy as our color palette, and the beautiful artwork in the Corner Gallery in Norfolk added such a fun colorful touch to the space. Ruth, from Raise the Ruth Events, coordinated and styled every detail to perfection, with Lauren, from Lauren Perry Studio providing the paperie and Chelsea Anderson Photography capturing all the fun moments from the workshop! Attendees also had their headshots taken by Chelsea with their creations, and it's been so fun to see them posting those online! I was so impressed by all the attendees and how quickly they all caught on to floral design- their flower crowns and bouquets were all gorgeous! We had an amazing time, and I'm so excited to begin planning the next one! Fill out the form at the bottom of this post if you would like to be notified of future workshop dates via email- and enjoy these photos!! :)
