Jane & Red- Big Spring Farm Lexington, Virginia Wedding

Jane & Red- Big Spring Farm Lexington, Virginia Wedding

Jane and Red enjoyed a beautiful July wedding day filled with sunshine and a mountain breeze, in Lexington, Virginia, at one of my favorite venues, Big Spring Farm! Big Spring is such a lovely spot for a summer wedding, with mountain views, water views, and a gorgeous natural barn for the reception! Red and Jane's classic dusty blush and white color palette, paired with greenery was the perfect color scheme for their summertime wedding (it's forever a favorite of mine!), and I loved how our Gardenia silk ribbons popped off the different styles of bridesmaid dresses! To bring their floral design vision to life, we used lots of garden roses, ranunculus, cafe au lait dahlias, astilbe, stock and and lots of greens- everything smelled SO good!! Their wedding day was photographed by Alisandra Photography, who did such a wonderful job, and we loved working alongside Kat, and her amazing team at Dear Sweetheart Events, and Big Spring Farm as well! Jane and Red are such a sweet, down-to-earth couple, and it was such a joy and honor to be a part of their wedding day, and celebrate them! We have even had the opportunity to hang out with Jane and Red after the wedding day too- my absolute favorite is when my clients turn into our friends- so fun! :) Scroll to the end of this post for a list of all the vendors who brought Jane and Red's wedding day to life, and enjoy scrolling through their wedding photos!

Ali & Nathan- Upper Shirley Vineyard Wedding!

Ali & Nathan- Upper Shirley Vineyard Wedding!

Ali and Nathan had a beautiful June wedding day filled with sunshine at Upper Shirley Vineyards, in Charles City, Virginia. Upper Shirley is such a beautiful venue, with a ceremony space overlooking the water, a lovely outdoor patio space for cocktail hour, and a stunning, elegant indoor space! This unique wedding color palette is definitely a new favorite of mine!! Shades of purple, mauve, lilac, lavender and pops of dark wine paired with greenery, were the colors as a nod to JMU, where Ali and Nathan met and where their love story began. I especially loved that since I am a JMU alum too (Go Dukes!!) To bring their vision to life, we used lots of garden roses, ranunculus, lilac, sweet peas, stock and more- everything smelled SO good!! Ali's wedding dress was absolutely beautiful, with such a classic and elegant style, and it looked so lovely paired with the wisteria colored bridesmaid dresses- so pretty!! To pull the wisteria shade into Ali's look, we tied off her bouquet in our mauve-lavender toned "Secret Garden" silk ribbon, and it was a perfect match to the bridesmaid dresses. Their wedding day was photographed by Fowler Studios, who did such a wonderful job, and we loved working with the amazing team at Shelby White Events, and Upper Shirley Vineyards as well! These two are just the sweetest, and it was such a joy and honor to be a part of their wedding day! Brooke & Brett- Independence Golf Club Richmond Wedding

Brett and Brooke enjoyed the perfect June weather for their lovely wedding day at the Independence Golf Club, near Richmond, Virginia! Independence is such a beautiful venue, and golf course was such a beautiful and pristine location for the outdoor ceremony! Brooke and Brett were such a special couple for me to work with, since they are dear friends as well as clients! Brett went to college with my husband Jason, and even were roommates for a year, so it was an honor to be asked to be a part of their wedding by designing their flowers! These two are the definition of joyful- they exude happiness and love, and they are the type of people that you just always want to be around because hanging out with them lights you up! Their love for each other is so evident, and it was such a honor to witness them commit their lives to continue loving and serving each other! Their wedding vision was "bringing the outside in", and they wanted their guests to feel like they were dancing the night away under the stars outside, and we brought that to life in the reception space with whimsical greenery chandeliers and hanging glass terrariums and candles! With their wedding being in June, we used lots of peonies in the arrangements, as well as garden roses, ranunculus and eucalyptus greens! Brooke's and the bridesmaids bouquets were all filled with these blooms and they all smelled SO good! Brooke's wedding dress was absolutely beautiful, with the most exquisite lace detailing, and she paired it with a beautiful long veil, which was complimented by the light sky blue bridesmaid dresses- so pretty!! Their wedding day was photographed by Anna Kardos Photography, who did such a wonderful job, and we loved working with the amazing team at the Independence Golf Club for their wedding as well! Scroll to the end of this post for a list of all the vendors who brought Brooke and Brett's wedding day to life- and enjoy! :)

Stephanie & Tom- Inn at Westwood Farm Charlottesville Wedding!

Stephanie and Tom had a sunshine-filled, joyous wedding day at a new venue to me- the Inn at Westwood Farm, near Charlottesville. It was the most charming bed and breakfast, nestled in the rolling hills of Virginia, and the property was absolutely lovely- perfect for an intimate outdoor wedding! The very first time I talked to Stephanie, she described her wedding as being southern-inspired, with a peach, light blue and white color palette, and I just loved working with her to bring her vision to life! Stephanie's bouquet was full of the best springtime blooms, including garden roses, lilac, ranunculus, tweedia and more, paired with greenery, and it was the perfect compliment to her beautiful wedding day look! The ceremony focal point was our classic wooden arbor, with a natural floral arrangement on the top and cascading down to both sides, and it was filled with coordinating blooms, including delphinium and garden roses, with natural greenery like blackberry and honeysuckle vine, and more! The reception area was outside, with lovely industrial-style exposed farm tables, string lights and wooden planter boxes filled with blooms for an intimate and natural feel. Their wedding day was photographed by Corrin Jasinski Photography who did such a wonderful job, and scroll to the end of this post for a list of all the vendors who brought Stephanie and Tom's wedding day to life- and enjoy! :)

Their early March wedding was filled with cozy, romantic details, as a perfect way to close out the winter season, and Early Mountain is such a beautiful spot for a winter wedding, with the two roaring fireplaces and twinkling candlelight. Their wedding ceremony and reception were inside, and the simple, yet elegant style of design, filled with neutral flowers and greenery, that Maegan was drawn to, was an absolutely beautiful compliment to the space!
